Review:

The long wait is over and James Bond is finally back. He picks up from where he left off in Casino Royale a fact which may disappoint many. The leaner and fitter 007 agent returns to avenge the death of his lady love Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) who had betrayed him. Bond wants to find the people behind her betrayal and dangerously mixes duty with a feeling of revenge. The rare sight of a rouge in world's most famous spy might surprise many. After capturing Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) in Lake Como to Siena, Italy, Bond (Daniel Craig) and M (Judi Dench) interrogate White regarding his organisation, Quantum. M's bodyguard Craig Mitchell (Glenn Foster) turns traitor and allows White to escape. Bond takes revenge and kills Mitchell across Siena. Through a trail of banknotes, Bond heads to Haiti tracks Mitchell's contact, Edmund Slate and kills him too.

Bond gives her a lift when she meets Greene and chases he when she is taken to a island by Greene. From his private plane he captures the photographs
of all the Quantum members and sends them to MI6. The spy agency revoke his credit card and passport after he kills a member of Quantum believing it to be personal grudge. Bond travels to Italy and meets his ally René Mathis (Giancarlo Giannini). In a fund raiser held by Greene he spots Camille. The Bolivian police
try to frame Bond beating Mathis and putting in his car boot. Mathis reveals the secret of Lynd and asks Bond to forgive her. He flies Camille to Greene's intended land acquisition area. They are shot by a chopper and have a narrow escape. They come to know about Greene' dangerous plan of blockading supplies of fresh water, hidden in underground rivers. M intercepts Bond and orders to disarm but he escapes by overpowering several MI6 operatives accompanying him in a lift. Bond hooks up with CIA ally Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) where he gets information about Greene deal with Medrano. Bond and Camille go to hotel where Greene is finalising the coup. He infiltrates the hotel by killing the departing Colonel of Police for betraying Mathis. Camille shoots Medrano and Bond captures Greene. After interrogating him, he leaves Greene stranded in the middle of the desert with only a can of oil. Bond goes to Kazan, Russia, where he confronts Lynd's former beau, Yusef who is Quantum henchman and is trying to seduce Canadian agent Corinne Veneau. Bond captures Yusef and is confronted by M. The MI6 reveals that Leiter has been promoted at the CIA, and Greene was found in the desert shot dead with oil in his stomach. Bond sets out into the cold night, aware that Mr. White and Quantum are still on the loose, and throws Vesper's necklace in the snow.As like any other 0007 movie the stunts involving motorbikes, speedboats, jet fighters and expensive cars are nerve wrecking. Director Marc Forster has learnt his lessons from Martin Campbell’s Casino Royale. Quantum of Solace marks a turn around in the Bond movie and shows the common side of James Bond where he can have a feeling of revenge. Daniel Craig improves his performance from Casino Royale and looks the perfect spy agent.

Australian life

Settling in Australia

What is 'settlement'?
Having arrived as a skilled or family migrant, or a refugee or humanitarian entrant, there may be many new things for you to adjust to in your new country. 'Settlement' is the process of adjustment you experience as you become established and independent in Australia.
Some migrants feel settled quite quickly, perhaps within six to 12 months. For others it may take some years. How quickly you settle into your new environment may depend on a range of factors, such as your English ability and your level of health, and whether you came as a skilled or family migrant or as a refugee. If you have visited Australia in the past and you are familiar with this country and society or if you join the work force quickly, you may settle quite quickly.
Most of you will need some help to settle successfully. As soon as you arrive, you will need somewhere to live, money to live on and information on services available to help you get started, such as schools, transport and health services. Shortly after you arrive, you will also need access to employment and education. You may also need access to English language classes and help to form individual and family social networks.
You will find the information you need to settle successfully in Australia in this area.
